Buying Furniture made in Canada: what to check
- 01Ask whether the piece is built here or only assembled here.
- 02Check the joinery; dovetails or mortise and tenon joints outlast staples alone.
- 03Ask what finish is used and whether the maker can repair or refinish it later.
- 04Confirm lead times, since made-to-order pieces often take several weeks.
